President Zhang Xi Visited National University of Singapore

On December 11th, 2019, Academician Zhang Xi, President of Jilin University was invited to visit National University of Singapore during the 16th Pacific Polymer Conference. He signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Collaborative Graduate Education Between National University of Singapore and Jilin University with Professor Tan Eng Chye, President of National University of Singapore. The heads from Office of Global Engagement, College of Chemistry, College of Automotive Engineering, College of Electronic Science and Engineering, and College of Geo-Exploration Science and Technology attended the related activities during the visit.


Representatives from various disciplines of Jilin University visited the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Department of Chemistry. They conducted in-depth discussions on scientific research cooperation, faculty exchange visits, co-supervision programs, joint seminars and forums with relevant responsible persons.

On Dec. 12th, the heads from College of Automotive Engineering, College of Electronic Science and Engineering, and College of Geo-Exploration Science and Technology of Jilin University paid a visit to Nanyang Technological University and discussed on further cooperation with Professor Tim White, Associate Vice President of Nanyang Technological University, senior professor Shen Zexiang, an alumnus from Jilin University. The delegation also visited School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Asian School of Environment, Earth Observatory of Singapore, and Microelectronics Centre at Nanyang Technological University. The delegates held in-depth discussions on the depth and breadth of cooperation between the two sides to achieve diversified and pragmatic cooperation in personnel training, faculty and student exchanges and scientific research. The delegation also visited the Delta-NTU Corporate Laboratory, the Intelligent Robot Laboratory, and relevant laboratories of Asian School of Environment.
